There’s No Place like Home for the Holidays…

NEWPORT BEACH, CALIF. – December 1, 2010, – Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club (BCYC), the friendliest yacht club in Newport Beach, is pleased to announce the kick-off of its annual Home for the Holidays fund raising campaign helping U.S. Marines to make it home for the Holidays.

 
Since 2005, BCYC members’ have participated in a special fund raising program in support of the 1st Marine Special Operations Battalion, based on Camp Pendleton.  Specifically for the Holiday Season, the annual donations have enabled deserving U.S. Marines - all having served in Iraq or Afghanistan, to be home for the Holidays.

Last year’s BCYC club member donations sent 25 Marines home to towns across America.

Organized by a former Marine and Club member, Richard L. Stone, the 1st Marine Special Operations Battalion Marines Special Forces Home for The Holidays Fund has become a proud tradition at BCYC.  From its inception, this annual event has supported more than 100 Marines in making the holidays a time to share with friends and family.  

“In order to get the best available seating and lower-priced airfares, we will be purchasing as many tickets as possible on November 15, 2010.  We’d like to remind contributors that their donations are fully tax deductible,” said Stone.
